Gut advice
Many of us can find it difficult to explain the full symptoms of our gut illnesses when we speak to a doctor. In fact, a recent survey revealed that 40%* of us feel somewhat uncomfortable with the language needed to communicate intimate problems to our GPs.
But rather than suffer with discomfort, we need to overcome the embarrassment and address the situation - early diagnosis increases the opportunity for treatment. Your doctor or nurse will be well accustomed to dealing with digestive problems, and will be sure to put you at your ease.
Here we look at ways to address gut issues whether asking a question to a Love your Gut expert, understanding the language to use, or seeking further advice.
